Jesse and I hosted an open house/fall party at our new place two weeks ago. It was so much fun to host and we loved having everyone over for the afternoon. Our party was all decked out in fall decor and treats. I wanted to share just a few of the fall inspired goodies that we had!
We had a table full of food, a house filled with the aroma of pumpkin spice candles, and a day of sweet fellowship! It was so fun planning our fall party. I also wanted to share with you guys another fall/halloween inspired DIY that is perfect to have on display for parties!! I was at Walmart browsing around one day and I came across this aisle…
Walmart carries the best selection of Halloween candy, especially these awesome variety Hershey candy bags. If you are in need of Halloween candy, definitely go check out these bags at Walmart!
I wanted to find a creative way to display this Halloween candy around the house. I wanted the candy to be out and available for any kiddos who may stop over but also wanted to display it in a cute way. Here is what I did:
I started with
– 2 glass jars
– Glue Dots
– Hole Reinforcement Stickers
– Gold Paint Pen
For the larger jar I simply cut the burlap, wrapped it around the jar, and secured it with a glue dot. I then wrapped the twine around a bunch of times and tied it off! Super quick and easy!
For the smaller jar, I placed the reinforcement stickers all over the jar and then filled in the holes using the paint pen.
After filling in the holes, I gave it a few minutes to dry before peeling the stickers off and voilà! It was done! I think these DIY candy jars make displaying Halloween candy more fun than just putting it in a bowl or basket, don’t you think?
How have you been celebrating fall? Have you stocked up on your Halloween candy yet? If not, be sure to check out Hershey’s Halloween Candy at Walmart! I hope you enjoyed taking a look into how we’ve been celebrating fall around our house lately! xo.
