Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great Christmas and a fun holiday week! I feel like it came and went so fast and here we are just a few days away from the New Year!! Thank you for all of your love and support this year! I couldn’t do what I do without all of you! Thanks for coming along and joining my journey!
As the year is coming to an end, I wanted to round up and share my favorite beauty products from this year. Some of these were new releases this year, and others were items I just happened to get around to trying out this year! It’s always so hard to narrow down, but these are my top picks and products I couldn’t stop using! If you happened to get a Sephora, Ulta, or Target gift card for Christmas, I hope sharing some of my favorites will help you know what to try out next and maybe even find some new faves for yourself!
BIODERMA Sensibio H2O Micellar Water – I tried this product out at the beginning of the year (see this post) and I’ve been hooked ever since. It is gentle enough to be used on sensitive skin, yet effective enough to remove even water-proof makeup. I usually use it in the evenings after using a makeup wipe in order to remove any leftover makeup, oil, or dirt.
Targeted Skin Balancing Cleanser – This year I tried out a new skin care line called Targeted Skin (check out my post here). My favorite product from the line, hands down, has been the cleanser. I take it with me everywhere! I love using it in the mornings when I wake up. It is so refreshing and makes my skin feel so soft!
L’Occitane Hand Creams – During the winter time my hands can get so dry. I’ve been obsessed with L’Occitane’s hand creams for the last few months! I had never tried anything from this brand but I can now say that I’m a big believer! Their hand cream sits on my night stand and I use it every single night!!
Coty Airspun Powder – When I ran out of my holy grail powder (this one), I decided to give the super popular Coty Airspun a try. I use it every day and I am a big fan! The price is right (under $10) and the amount you get is a huge plus! I could do without the scent of the powder but other than that I give it a two thumbs up!
Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation – This has to be one of the fullest-coverage foundations at the drugstore! I love using this foundation for a flawless finish. Sometimes I will use another foundation and then just use a small amount of this one layered on top for a little extra coverage!
Neutrogena SkinClearing Foundation – Another great drugstore option, this foundation has a natural look and stays put throughout the day! I love the “skin clearing” properties of this entire line and am happy with the coverage it gives.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation – I tried this foundation out through Influenster, and in my opinion, it really does live up to its name. It has the most natural, “invisible” finish and just melts into the skin! And talk about a shade range!!
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer – Shape Tape. Do I need to say much here? It is crazy popular and for good reason. I actually just added another shade to my collection since I love it so much and wanted to make sure I always have the right shade whether I am fairer or more tan. This is probably the best concealer out in the beauty world right now!
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush – These blushes have such great pigmentation, apply smoothly, and have a great color selection. I have used the same shade on repeat but just got this limited edition collection for Christmas! I’m in love!
Ofra Cosmetics Highlighter – I received this highlighter in a subscription box this year and boy does it pack a punch! I have it in the shade Rodeo Drive and it is such a stunning gold! I can’t get enough!
Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette – This palette is one of my most used palettes! (Check out my initial post about it here.) By the way- how exciting is it that Morphe is now sold at Ulta?! If you don’t have this palette in your collection yet, run don’t walk, to Ulta. There are an unlimited amount of different looks you can do with this one palette!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette – The shades in this palette are to die for! My favorite color to wear (clothing wise and lipstick wise) is cool-toned pinks, so this palette pairs perfectly with those colors! The pigments are not only pretty, but they blend perfectly!
Maybelline Total Temptation Eyeshadow Palette – Although this palette is a newer one, it was one I literally didn’t put down for weeks so it had to make my list. The variety of colors you get within such a small palette is a huge win! I know I was just talking about cool-toned shades, but the peachy tones in this palette are so soft and pretty!
Colourpop Super Shock Eyeshadows – These shadows have made a mark in my collection and I constantly reach for them. They are easy to apply (I like applying with my fingertip) and the pigmentation is always so gorgeous. A few of my favorites are this one and this one.
L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Primer – I often wonder what I did without this primer. It is a definite game-changer. I use it under all different mascaras and it always has the same great outcome. One tube has lasted me a while and I love that it doesn’t dry up quick!
L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara – Another super popular makeup item of the year is this mascara. It is a great dupe for this mascara and definitely holds its own! It did dry up fairly quick, but since the price point is so good, it is still a favorite for sure!
Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara – This mascara is a newer launch and is such a great option that can be found at the drugstore! It is very black and gives my lashes nice volume!
Essence Longlasting Lipstick – I am still stunned by this lipstick. Brace yourself..this lipstick is under $2.00. Yes that’s right. I recently got shade 05 and love the color and finish! Even though it is a newer find, I had to add it to the list because I have been reaching for it a ton lately (and is what I’m wearing in the photos in this post).
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip – Y’all, I’m really hooking you up with some killer deals… this lippie is just under $3.00. I use the shade Blush and love the finish, the pigmentation, and the smoothness of application. I think we can all agree a Target run is in order right about now.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick – Ok, so technically this is a very new discovery for me (very new as in I just got it for Christmas) but I am already obsessed! It was on my Christmas list and my hubby picked it up for me. The shade I chose is Caramello after hearing another beauty blogger recommending it. It really does last throughout the day and the color is gorgeous!
e.l.f. Beautifully Precise Brushes – Not only are these brushes so pretty, but the quality is fantastic! I haven’t tried the entire collection but I use this one and this one on a daily basis. The handles of the brush collection are triangular shaped and the heaviness of these brushes makes them feel high-end!
Whew! There ya have it! I hope this list was helpful for you! Let me know if you try any of these out and what your thoughts are! Also, what beauty products were your standouts for 2017? Happy New Year, friends! I hope you all have a fun weekend of celebrating! Talk to you on the flip side. 😉 xo.
